In 2017 Easterseals found their home located at 1400 James I. Harrison Jr. Parkway East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama in the preeminent building depicted on this commemorative ornament. Through this central location Easterseals West Alabama offers programs for all ages including the Nurse-Family Partnership, Parents as Teachers, Future Promise Youth Program, Transitional Services, Workforce Development, Supported Employment, Driver’s Education Program, Payee Representatives and Transportation Department.
From it’s very beginnings in 1959, Easterseals West Alabama has stayed true to the mission to change the way the world defines and views disability by making profound, positive differences in people’s lives every day. Each day we provide individualized family-focused, outcome-oriented, and cost-effective services to help individuals live, learn, work, and play in their communities, never wavering from the promise to provide services with Integrity of character, Spirit of excellence, and Unity of heart.
You can purchase a memento to celebrate 65 years of transformative services throughout West Alabama. Proceeds of the sales go to support Easterseals West Alabama’s continued mission to promote self-sufficiency among individuals with disabilities and special needs while trying to reconstruct the way the community views these individuals.
