Pay for Transportation

Easterseals West Alabama
provides work-related transportation
to income and disability-eligible individuals
in Tuscaloosa County within a 20-mile radius.
​This program:

• Eliminates transportation barriers
• Offers transportation for childcare of eligible individuals
• Gives almost 900 trips to eligible individuals monthly

Is in partnership with:

• Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services
• Alabama Department of Human Resources

Guidelines for Current Consumers:

• Scheduling for transportation must have a 24-hour notice
• No later than 11:30 am of the previous day
• If needed for Monday, call in on Friday
• Only transport people to and from a place of employment
• No personal transportation
• Daycare facilities/schools must be on the same route as the work route for dependents of consumers.
• Consumers MUST accompany dependents at all times.
